Blackout Transmission Unveils Their Second LP "Twilight & Resonance" - A Transcendent Journey Through Desert Landscapes and Inner Reflection

New Mexico-based post-punk shoegaze collective Blackout Transmission returns with their highly anticipated sophomore effort "Twilight & Resonance," set for release October 10, 2025 via Etxe Records. This mesmerizing eight-track exploration finds the band trading urban sprawl of Los Angeles for the high desert expanses of the Mountain West, marking a significant evolution in their sonic palette while maintaining their signature lysergic intensity. The album will be available as a stunning dark purple vinyl edition featuring design and layout work by Jeff Holmes and original artwork by Jonathan Keeton.

From the outset of recording “Sparse Illumination”, Blackout Transmission lead songwriter/arranger, C. Goett, envisioned calling upon musical comrades to reimagine these tracks through remixes and alternate interpretations. By activating the national Etxe Records community and local Los Angeles network, “Radiance + Variance: Remixes and Alternate Interpretations” advances new experimental and more electronic approaches to the original songs tracked with Scott Holmes (Highlands, Dream Machine LB).

"Portals" Video Premeire - New Noise Magazine

Last month, New Noise Magazine premiered Sparse Illumination, the debut LP from L.A.-based post-punk outfit Blackout Transmission. Collectively, the eight tracks on the album, out now through Etxe Records, combine for a tight 34-minute dose of post-punk, shoegaze, and neo-psychedelia that evokes low-shutter-speed nocturnal journeys through desert canyons and winding coastal highways
